The final safety we’ll cover here is the sophomore Tre’Vez Johnson out of Jacksonville.

There has been lots of optimism about Johnson since he got to campus in 2020, and this may be the year we finally get to see him play some meaningful snaps.

At 5’11”-194, Johnson hits hard. While the height isn’t on par with other safeties, his speed and physicality makes up for it.

He is also solid in coverage, and does a good job of putting himself in a position to make plays.

This seems like the year that Tre’Vez can break out. With a new coaching staff that figures to play talent over experience, Johnson will likely be a #2 guy who earns meaningful playing time in the secondary.

Keep up with Florida football here.
