The other likely starter alongside Dean is Rashad Torrence II. Entering his third year in Gainesville, Torrence is ready to step up and take on more snaps.

Rashad has already made some noise in the orange and blue, as he snatched 3 INTs last year, including 2 against UGA in Jacksonville. He also tallied 87 tackles and picked up a fumble recovery.

Torrence brings a little more experience to an overall young backend. Being paired with Trey Dean will mean that Torrence will take on a coverage heavy role, which is where he excels. He’s got quick hands and is able to pick up on what a receiver is doing quickly.

He also has no fear of contact, which is evident by his tackling numbers.

Torrence II is going to be a critical piece of the Florida football secondary, and will be a household name before the season ends.
