Trey Dean is the elder statesman of the safety group. He’s entering his fifth year in Gainesville, and will be the guy that the other safeties look to during the season.

Dean is best known for being a hard hitter, as he’s left his mark on a few opposing receivers during his career.

In 2021, while he was still operating in Todd Grantham’s defense, he totaled 88 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and an interception.

Dean has all of the physical tools needed to be an elite SEC safety this season. With the attitude shift that Billy Napier brought to Gainesville, paired with the great coaches around him, Trey is a name to watch for this fall.
