As Florida football season is approaching, we wanted to analyze the different position groups that the Gators will be throwing onto the field this year, and take a look at the guys that will anchor certain rooms.

We already covered the corners, so now let’s look at the Gator safeties.

Lead by safety coach and co-DC Patrick Toney, the safety group could be very solid, and do a great job on the backend of this new look Gators defense.

There are 13 safeties on the roster this year, so we can’t get to them all in one article. So today we’ll take a look at the likely contributors to the room.
