Florida Football Honorable Mentions

Neal Anderson

Anderson ranks 3rd on Florida’s all-time rushing list with 3,234 career rushing yards and 6th all-time with 30 rushing touchdowns.

Anderson was a 1st round pick by the Chicago Bears in 1986.

While no doubt on of the best in Florida history, he falls short of our Mount Rushmore because while his best season was his senior year with 1,034 rushing yards, it took him 238 carries to get there and he finished 1985 with a yards per carry average of 4.3, well below the other members of our list.

Earnest Graham

It’s really hard to leave Graham off this list. He ranks 4th on Florida’s all-time rushing list with 3,085 yards and 4th with 33 career rushing touchdowns.

Graham topped 1,000 yards his senior year with a 4.5 average per carry.

He went undrafted but did enjoy a stint in the NFL.

Graham ultimately falls short because compared to the other candidates on this list, he contributed the least to the passing game.

He finished with 59 catches and 402 yards receiving, less than the four guys who make up Florida’s Mount Rushmore.
