Head honcho is back

After missing just about all of last year with a torn biceps tendon, Ventrell Miller is back for his senior year.

Miller is going to come back as the unrivaled leader of the defense. He stepped in when David Reese graduated, and the defense suffered last year (for a few reasons) in his absence.

In the 2020 shortened season, his last full year, Miller racked up 86 tackles and 3.5 sacks. One of those tackles was a bone crushing stop in the season opener at Ole Miss.

The Gators are going to be counting on Miller to not only be the leader of the linebacker room, but of the entire defense. Ventrell will always put up consistent numbers, but having their vocal leader back on the field will do wonders for Florida’s defense.
