Third Quarter Florida Gators vs Rebels

You’re Ole Miss. You’re behind 25-0 at halftime. You need points and you need them quickly.

So you embark on a 19-play drive that ends in a field goal and eats up almost 10 minutes of game clock.

You do you.

The Rebels did get down to Florida one-yard line, but were sent backwards and settled for a field goal from five yards out.

Scared money don’t make money.

Florida’s defense does deserve credit. They never let Ole Miss gash them and came up with big plays when needed.

And perhaps what stands out most is how much more physical Florida’s defense felt compare to Ole Miss.

The only reason Ole Miss even had a 19-play drive is because Florida got called for a roughing the passer.

The Rebels thought they had something going towards the end of the third quarter.

Marcus Maye stripped Kelly on a QB scramble to end another Ole Miss drive.
