Prospect #1: Eugene Wilson III – Athlete – Gaither high school

The first prospect who named UF their leader in recruiting was Eugene Wilson III, an athlete from Tampa Bay, Florida.  The first thing of note would be the fact that, if recruited, Florida football could keep Eugene in state and gain a utility man at whatever position they see fit.  At the moment, he is viewed as a true slot receiver, however, was initially recruited as a DB, so it could go one way or another.  Wilson had a phenomenal 2021-2022 season, wracking up the following:

  • 11 games played (all for varsity)
  • 62 receptions for 925 yards and 7 touchdowns
  • 14.9 YPR & 67-yard touchdown

His highlight reel is something to behold as well, as he is extremely shifty and quick, which makes his highlights enormously impressive to watch.  Take a look:
