Florida football ranks #2 all-time in SEC players drafted

With the 2022 NFL Draft coming up within the month, we should take a look at the past and see how Florida football has faired with its prospects being drafted.  This article was spurred from a Twitter post by BigGameBoomer, who posted an image showing the top 10 colleges for drafted players by conference, which you can see below.  By doing some more research, we can find out how many they average per year, as well as how many Florida has had drafted since certain years.

As you can see in the graphic above, Florida football ranks 2nd all-time in the SEC for players drafted behind arguably the most notorious college football program in Alabama.  This does not really give us a good idea as to a few things, however, such as…

  • Where does Florida football rank among all colleges?
  • How many players separate each team?
  • How many prospects has Florida produced recently?
  • How many prospects do the schools average yearly?

Answering each of these questions is also part of the fun, as we can get a better idea of if Florida football is consistently producing prospects yearly, or if they spike for a period of time.  So, in doing some more research we can come across this website, which shows the number of players drafted all-time from each college.  So let us dive into the questions now with this information.
