Florida football makes an offer to 2022 edge Jack Pyburn

The Florida Gators made a play in the sweepstakes for 2022 3-star edge Jack Pyburn out of The Bolles School.  Jack has received a large amount of interest around college football to become a recruit for those respective teams.  Pyburn has been heavily targeted by Auburn and the Miami Hurricanes, both of which have made offers to him.  However, the Florida football program led by new HC Billy Napier decided to make an offer to Pyburn and allowed him to come on for a campus visit.  Pyburn calls the Gators his “dream” offer and had many great words to say about the Florida football program.

So far Jack has received 29 total offers, however, many of which have somewhat fallen out of the race.  Florida, Miami, and Auburn all are seemingly the biggest contenders for the recruitment chance.  He would go on to be interviewed after the meeting with Florida, and said the following which seemingly is a huge pro for the Gators:

"“It’s pretty surreal…It’s the moment you think about as a little kid. Coach Napier told me that he wanted to offer because not only am I great player but a great young man. He said I’m the type of person that I am is exactly what he needs to reshape a team and develop a culture for the program.”"

This type of statement from Napier seemingly would be a huge compliment to Jack, as Florida is clearly trying to make their program a competitor starting from essentially scratch.  Hearing from your potential new head coach that you are a great man and player is something that will stick with you for the rest of your life, even if you chose to go elsewhere.

While Auburn has made heavy advances to try and recruit Pyburn, it seems like Florida football may have been his hope all along in terms of offers.  Calling a school your “dream” offer and having such an exceptional meeting with their head coach tends to bode well in terms of recruitment and your career.  Pyburn will announce his decision tomorrow at 3:30 on CBS HQ (seemingly EST considering he is in Jacksonville Beach, FL).  He would post the following picture to hype up fanbases and show the final 3 teams are the ones we expected:
