Florida football players on the Cincinnati Bengals

Player #1: Evan McPherson – K

The first player here for the Bengals is the man who got them here in the first place, kicker Evan McPherson.  The 5th round draft pick was the first kicker taken off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he proved that he was worth the pick last Sunday with a 52-yard game winning field goal to upset the #1 seed Tenessee Titans.  He spent his 3 year collegiate career with Florida football and only missed 1 pat in his career out of 150 attempts, as well as going 51/60 on field goals at 85%.

Player #2: Vernon Hargreaves III – CB

The next player up on the list is cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III, was a phenomenal cornerback for the Florida Gators from 2013-2015.  He would total 10 interceptions and 27 passes deflected in his 3 year career with Florida, and had 152 return yards from interceptions in 2015 for them as well, #4 in the SEC that year and #7 in the NCAA that season.  Overall his NFL career has been spent on a few teams, but he now finds himself in the final four teams vying for the biggest stage of them all.

Player #3: Fred Johnson – OL

The final Gators player on the Bengals currently is Fred Johnson, a more recent contribution to the NFL by Florida football.  The 6’6″ offensive lineman for the Bengals has played in 23 games so far in his 3 year career, and has started 8 of them.  This season he played 90 total snaps and allowed 1 sack, and has been relatively good when asked to fill in as a left tackle.
