Star Florida football Cornerback Kaiir Elam Says Heartfelt Goodbye to Florida Gators

The decision we have all been waiting for has come, and it results in another high-tier Florida football player going to the draft.  Star cornerback Kaiir Elam has made his decision and has declared to the 2022 NFL Draft, where he should be a first-round pick without a doubt.  After 3 years with the Florida Gators, he has released a video via his Twitter stating that he will be moving on to the NFL.  The video was full of heartfelt statements both to the Florida football program as well as fans of the team and showed his true passion for being part of the Gators franchise.

Quotes From Heartfelt Goodbye

As previously mentioned, there were quite a few sentimental statements made in this video prior to declaring, which choked up many Gators fans in the process.  Here are some of the most interesting and emotional quotes:

What does this mean for Kaiir Elam?

Kaiir Elam decided to forego his senior season and declare for the draft while his draft stock is sky-high.  While there is a conglomerate of other high-end cornerbacks in this class, Elam’s talent coming out of the Florida football program makes it so that he should still be one of the best corners in this class.  This choice allows him to push harder than ever, and spend time preparing for the Combine if he chooses to attend, as well as prepare to play next year in the NFL.  Elam was always seen as a leader for the defensive unit and stood up to the task of leading the Gators defensively, which is something all NFL coaches want in their players.
