If it plays out like this, the Gators are going to be a bubble team. A lot may come down to their showing in the SEC conference tournament. If they can gut out two wins in the tournament, it should be enough to get them into the NCAA tournament. 22
-12 record with a 12-9 conference record in a league like the SEC is usually enough in this day.
There’s certainly a few key games that could change the outcome of that projection, losses to any of the weak teams like South Carolina, Georgia, or a Vanderbilt could be crippling. They still have distance themselves from a horrible loss to Texas Southern and an eh loss to Maryland.
Mike White has very little wiggle room leading into conference play. It’s a brutal schedule to open, let’s see if he can navigate the early games and hold onto his job.
