When you are selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, people will have things to say about you, good and bad. Former Florida Gators and current Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is already experiencing this before he even plays a snap. Pitts’ division rival, New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, had some choice words about the first non-quarterback taken in the draft.

Many people felt Pitts could be a receiver throughout the draft process, but the No. 1 player in the 2021 NFL Draft is a tight end and has always been a tight end.

Jordan poked some fun at Pitts and said, “He’s a little light in the a-s to be a tight end,” via Bleacher Report Gridiron.

He added, “As long as he is detached from the line and not attached to the line, cuz then I have to detach him from his body.”

Cameron Jordan shouldn’t poke the beast bear that is Kyle Pitts.

These are likely fun, playful words from Jordan, but he should still watch what he says about Pitts.

The former Gators star is already a top-five tight end in the NFL, and he didn’t play a down yet.

Pitts is a once-in-a-lifetime prospect, and the Falcons were smart to draft him at No. 4 overall. He has a chance to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and be Matt Ryan’s go-to target now that wide receiver Julio Jones is gone.

During the pre-draft process, Pitts got many Las Vegas Raiders tight end, Darren Waller player comparisons. If Pitts can play like Waller, Jordan may be eating his words like his starting quarterback once ate a W…

Waller dominated the Saints in 2020, catching 12 passes for 105 yards and a score. So, while Jordan may be having fun talking trash, he better tread lightly.

Pitts could be having the last laugh as he dominates the Saints defense, twice a year, for many more years to come.
