Kyle Pitts

No matter who drafts Kyle Pitts, he is going to succeed wherever he goes. He is a generational talent, and I believe the best player in this draft. He is a mismatch nightmare as he can line up anywhere on the field. His combination of speed and power will make an immediate impact in this league.

I don’t see Pitts making it past pick No. 6, the Miami Dolphins pick. I believe he will be gone before that, however. I believe the best fit for Pitts and where he’ll get drafted is No. 4 to the Atlanta Falcons. I love the scenario for the 49ers to take him at No. 3 after they traded up from No. 12. Imagine if they select Pitts to pair with George Kittle and have the best tight end duo since the Patriots had Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. I just don’t see the 49ers trading up that high not to pick a quarterback.

So, therefore, Pitts is the first non-QB drafted by the Falcons. Atlanta would have a lot of weapons already around Pitts in Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Hayden Hurst. Another connection is with Matt Ryan, whom he and Pitts would form a Philadelphia High School connection where their high schools are only 20 minutes away from each other.

Matt Ryan also loves targeting his tight end as he had arguably the greatest tight end of all time in Tony Gonzalez. Matt Ryan is getting towards the end of his career, so adding another weapon for him would be ideal for the Falcons.

Also, it would take pressure off of Julio Jones, as you can’t double team him and Pitts. Calvin Ridley is also blossoming into a Pro-Bowl caliber player. If the Falcons draft Kyle Pitts, this offense would be scary!
