Florida football: Arlen Harris Jr. hyped about receiving offer
If I have said it once I will say it again and again, Dan Mullen and the Florida football staff can recruit recruit recruit.
I don’t think the Florida football coaching staff ever sleep and the talent they are assembling for the next few years is off the charts good.
Arlen Harris Jr. is one more 2022 recruit that the Florida football staff has given an offer to.
If the name sounds familiar, it is, Arlen Harris Sr. was committed to attend UF for the 1999 season, but had a few complications and never got the chance to play here. But the love of the Gators has always been there.

This 6-foot, 190-pound running back out of Missouri has all the skills a Mullen offense could ask for.
There is a skill a running back in a run, pass, option (RPO) offense must have, hit the hole fast, and be able to make that first guy miss. Harris Jr can do just, he has a quickness that makes him hit a hole when needed and the skill to make that first cut with ease.

One of the first things you notice is the speed and power. He runs downfield always, even while cutting.
While being coached in HS by his father Harris is poised to make his own way. I got to chat with Harris Jr about his offer from Florida football. Given the fact that his father also received an offer from UF this had to make this a special offer for Harris;
"” It definitely was a huge offer. I am very appreciative and humbled by it! I always have lived UF!”"
Having and gaining a relationship with recruits is a big part of the job. Coach Knox has been talking with Harris Jr and finding out how he fits in their offense.
Being able to do many things for a team is an advantage for any player.
"“Coach Knox and I just talked about what he likes about me on the field! Coach likes a back that is versatile.”"
Being sought after by many and being from Missouri where there is no doubt they want him to stay home.
A part of recruiting is getting to know the people and the place you may call home. Harris Jr seems to welcome getting to know Florida football.
"“Florida is definitely high on my list. I value this offer a lot! I want to get even deeper into who UF is.”"
One thing is for sure, step foot in the Swamp and you never want to leave.
Harris is the type of back that would fit great in the Gators offense of the future, and we will welcome him into Gator Nation, Chomp Chomp!
