2020 will be the first time a Lane Kiffin-led football team will face off against the Gators since his infamous Tennessee tenure in 2009.

All has come full circle and Kiffin is, once again, at the helm of a new team.

At quarterback, Ole Miss is eyeing a competitive competition between two sophomores, John Rhys Plumlee and Matt Corral.

Altogether, the entire Ole Miss team is under a complete redesign, remaining a mystery for now.

What is known, Ole Miss is only returning five defensive starters on a unit that finished in the bottom half of the SEC.

I’m particularly interested to see how the Rebels manage their space in a division full of heavyweights. Kiffin will certainly have his work cut out, but I believe he will find ways to sneak out a few big wins.

Prediction

The Rebels will be prepared, throwing the kitchen sink at Todd Grantham and using Kiffin’s strategic play-calling to their advantage.

However, Florida’s offense will come to play, too. As a result, this game should come down to who can get the most stops.

That team will be Florida.

Dan Mullen will take advantage of a sub-par defense, outlasting the Rebels in Oxford.
