Florida Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2020

As we near the Florida football season, it’s time to pinpoint the trajectory of Dan Mullen’s team to see if he can transform the Gators back to contenders.
Florida football reintroduces another talented team that plans to compete with top programs for a bid to the college football playoff in 2020.
Leading the charge will be Kyle Trask who emerged as the leading weapon for Dan Mullen’s offense. The junior quarterback threw for 2,941 yards and added 25 touchdowns to push Florida to a ten-win season in 2019.
If the Gators want to progress further than ten wins, they must present a competent ground game to balance a high-powered passing attack.
Dan Mullen knows this, and added a five-star transfer Lorenzo Lingard to the mix of running backs, although it is uncertain whether or not he will be cleared to play.
Nonetheless, Dameon Pierce, who averaged 7.5 yards a carry last year, will be expected to carry a heavy load whether Lingard is able to go or not.
On the opposite side of the ball, Florida lost some of its key players, but will ultimately reload with new talent and experienced veterans on defense.
The Gators show promise next season, but Mullen must piece all of this together if he wants to survive the brutal SEC schedule and book a trip to Atlanta.
Now, it’s less about the promise and more about execution.
Let’s see if Florida football has what it takes in 2020.
