Florida football: 5 Gators to watch Saturday vs. Missouri
5. Florida football receivers
Again, this is going to be a difficult challenge for the Gators’ passing offense.
Not only has Missouri been good against the pass, but they are also back home for the first time in a month.
This means they will be amped up to play at Faurot Field and replicate what they did in Gainesville last season.
As I mentioned before, it’s going to be paramount for the receivers to get themselves open amid tight coverage.
Also, to assist Trask and help him not make a poor throwing decision, receivers will need to come off their man and keep the routes short. Then they can get yardage after the catch.
The key is not to force downfield passing decisions that lead to interceptions.
Keep the passing game tight in short and Florida football should be able to overcome the Missouri passing defense.
Remember, No. 11 Florida football will kick-off with Missouri in Columbia at noon Saturday.
