Florida football: 5 Gators to watch Saturday vs. Missouri

4. Kyle Trask, quarterback

Going up against what is most likely the best passing defense he’s faced this season, quarterback Kyle Trask will be tested to be sure.

He’s done good things against defenses like LSU, Georgia and South Carolina.

But, now it’s the real deal as the Tigers’ passing defense is fourth in the country.

The challenge for Trask is to not make any silly downfield mistakes. He needs to stick with the game plan Mullen gives him.

Trask excels with short passes allowing the receiving corps to pick up extra yardage after the catch. Missouri knows that, but I don’t see them being able to stop it.

Therefore, Trask needs to avoid being pressured into making poor passing decisions. Move around the in the pocket and pick your target. The receivers will get open for you as they have all season long.
