Florida football: Gators injury report vs. Vanderbilt
It’s not great, but for Florida football, its injury report isn’t nearly as bad as it could be this late in the season.
Last week, Florida football swapped getting two of its best defensive players back in Jabari Zuniga and Jonathan Greenard, for losing two more.
While the Gators’ injury report doesn’t look at all bad — of course, it could be a lot worse — at least one defensive stalwart won’t be in the lineup.
Nonetheless, the Gators seem relatively healthy as the injury report is much smaller than it was even three weeks ago.
With that, here’s a look at the Florida football injury report leading up to Saturday’s home game with Vanderbilt.
Out
Amari Burney, utility
Backup linebacker Amari Burney suffered a knee sprain last week against Georgia and has been ruled out for this weekend’s game with Vanderbilt.
Jeremiah Moon, linebacker
Florida football linebacker Jeremiah Moon sustained a foot injury last week against Georgia and has been ruled out, likely for the rest of the season.
Feleipe Franks, quarterback
Florida starting quarterback Feleipe Franks dislocated his right ankle against Kentucky and is currently rehabilitating it following surgery. He is out for the season.
C.J. McWilliams, defensive back
After suffering a ruptured Achilles in practice before the start of the season, defensive back C.J. McWilliams continues to recover and it out for the season.
Questionable
Dameon Pierce, running back
While he did play sparingly against Georgia, running back Dameon Pierce is still listed as questionable this week against Vanderbilt. He is recovering from a head injury suffered against South Carolina three weeks ago.
Jeawon Taylor, defensive back
Florida football defensive back Jeawon Taylor has been dealing with a shoulder injury for the last few weeks and is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game with Vanderbilt.
No. 10 Florida will host Vanderbilt at noon Saturday, Nov. 9 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
