4. Pitts keeps getting better, but there could have been more

Tight end Kyle Pitts had another strong game — especially in the first half — as he ended the game with 78 yards on four catches.

It was obvious Georgia didn’t have an answer for the much bigger and more athletic Pitts, who continues to shine game in and game out.

In fact, for a time in the first half, the #Kyle2Kyle connection was really the only thing working for the Florida football offense.

But, more importantly, Pitts opened up the game to allow Trask to hit seven other receivers — including Freddie Swain, who had 91 yards on eight catches and a touchdown late in the game.

And Van Jefferson, who had this touchdown catch:

However, I would have liked to have seen Pitts more in the rotation in the second half as Georgia still didn’t double down on him and there were times, especially when Florida was threatening, where Pitts was either open close to the end zone or drawing advantageous single coverage.

Alas, he was not.

Hopefully, as we move on to Vanderbilt, Dan Mullen and the offensive coaching staff continue to keep Pitts active as he has proven to be a solid playmaker for the Gators on offense.
