5. Kyle Trask, quarterback

If anyone needs to have a big game Saturday, it’s quarterback Kyle Trask.

This is his proving game.

This is the game where he could, essentially, be the presumptive starter next season, even with Feleipe Franks returning.

Trask is going to need the game of his short career, but more importantly, he’s going to have to be smart.

Georgia is going to pressure him and force him out of the pocket. We’ve seen that Trask can do well under pressure, but this is a different kind of pressure.

Trask is one of the best overall quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference, but needless to say, the game is stepped up a notch now.

If Trask doesn’t try to freelance too much on the field and lets the plays come to him, he should do well. If he goes off-script and tries to force plays to happen, the Bulldogs will make him pay.

All of that said, Trask has had a remarkable year this season, win or lose this game. To suggest he won’t challenge Franks next season for the starting job is crazy because he will.
