Florida football: 5 Georgia Bulldogs to watch Saturday
3. Monty Rice, linebacker
Playing the WILL linebacker, junior Monty Rice has put himself in a position to be the Bulldogs’ leading tackler this season.
He’s amassed 41 total tackles, but had an off day against Kentucky, managing just three tackles total. A lot of that had to do with the fact the Wildcats threw the football more than they ran it.
But, don’t be mistaken, Rice is solid. He had 12 tackles against South Carolina and has a penchant for disrupting opposition running games.
Florida football quarterback Kyle Trask will have to be on his toes as Rice likes to rush the passer from his position on the weak side. He has five quarterback pressures this season.
Rice could prove to be disruptive to Florida’s passing game, if the offensive line can’t pick him up early in the play.
