5. Trey Dean III, So.

Florida’s Star linebacker, Trey Dean III is another underclassman taking advantage of learning from those around him.

He has the benefit of being tutored by David Reece, Donovan Stiner and Jeawon Taylor.

And, it’s paid off as Dean’s recorded 20 tackles this season covering over the middle. But, his speed as also helped him be disruptive in the backfield as he has three tackles for loss.

Not to mention, two sacks, one interception, one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.

Dean has quickly adapted to the position of Star linebacker and looks to continue making an impact at that position — or even as a middle linebacker — in the years’ to come.

And, considering fellow sophomore Amari Burney is backing him up — and making a name for himself as well — that secondary is just scary for the next two seasons.

Now, I know there were a few I missed — like the aforementioned Burney, Elam and middle linebacker Ventrell Miller — all of whom have made significant contributions on defense.

The Florida football offense also benefits from sophomore running back Malik Davis and redshirt freshman wide receiver Jacob Copeland.

But, I wanted to mention the five I felt had the biggest impact on the team this season.
