Florida football: Gators injury report ahead of South Carolina
Florida football may be a little banged up following a pair of top-10 match-ups, back to back. But, their injury report doesn’t show it.
It’s not necessarily what Florida football is saying.
It’s about what they aren’t.
In one injury report ahead of Saturday’s game at South Carolina, the Gators are healthy because only Dameon Pierce is on it.
However, there’s another report that may be a little more accurate as Jon Greenard and Jabari Zuniga are both listed as injured and questionable for Saturday.
It means the Florida football defense may be relying on the likes of Zachary Carter, Khris Bogle and Luke Ancrum — all three of which struggled, especially in the second half against LSU.
Jeremiah Moon will also have to step up considerably if both Greenard and Zuniga either play sporadically or at all.
With that, here’s the Florida football injury report ahead of Saturday’s clash at South Carolina.
Out
Kadarius Toney
Florida football wide receiver Kadarius Toney is out until November after injuring his left shoulder a few weeks ago.
C.J. McWilliams
C.J. McWilliams remains out for the entire season after a ruptured Achilles injury.
Feleipe Franks
Starting quarterback Feleipe Franks is out for the season after dislocating his ankle in a win over Kentucky earlier this season.
Questionable
Dameon Pierce
Florida football running back Dameon Pierce suffered a head injury two weeks ago against Auburn and it is not been determined whether he will be available Saturday against South Carolina.
Jon Greenard
Defensive lineman Jonathan Greenard has been listed as a game-time decision with a right ankle injury he suffered against LSU. Game time: Greenard has reportedly been ruled out of the game.
Jeawon Taylor
Jeawon Taylor is also listed as a game-time decision after he suffered a shoulder injury.
Jabari Zuniga
Florida football defensive leader Jabari Zuniga suffered an ankle injury a few weeks ago and it is uncertain if he will be available against South Carolina. He, like Greenard, is listed as a game-time decision. Game time: Zuniga has been reportedly ruled out of the game.
Remember, No. 9 Florida football will kick off against South Carolina at 12 p.m. Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.
