Florida football: Two future Gators highlighted
In order for a school to have a long-lasting tradition of being the best, they must be good at attracting recruits. they depend on recruits. This is no truer than with the Florida football program.
Getting the best to come and play for your school means your school will always have that tradition.
Issiah Walker and Anthony Richardson are but two of the best players in a very good class.
Florida football’s Issiah Walker OL
Issiah Walker, from Miami, Florida and is one of the best offensive tackles in the game today. He attends and plays at Miami Norland high school.
In the beginning, he had committed to South Carolina but on July 2, 2019, he announced he had de-committed from USC and opened back up his recruitment. At that point, it looked as if it was a toss-up between Florida football or Hurricane football.

Walker says it was some time before the Miami, Florida game this year that he decided the Gators were his front runner.
"“It was just a little earlier, before I came to the game,” Walker stated."
If there is one thing that Walker respects itis the offensive line coaches of all those he talks with.
He talks with the coaches from Miami all the time as they go see him at play at Norland that is in the same area. But when asked what made the Gators the front runner he stated;
"“I would say the coaches,” Walker said when asked why Florida leads. “They have a very good school, coaching staff…”"
Right now 247 Sports has him at a 67% chance to land at Florida. Although he never tells anyone that he is fully committed, it’s known by most he will end up in Gainsville.
Like many before him when Recruits come to Florida they feel at home and know this is the right place for them. Mr. Walker, we will welcome you with open arms.
Florida football’s Anthony Richardson QB
The six-foot-four dual-threat QB from Gainsville is another one of top to watch.
He has all the tools a Mullens offense can ask for. He can pass and if and when they need him he can certainly run. As of now, he is the Gators to win with.
I would never put someone in the same category as a Tebow before he ever gets here. But the story of a guy that grows up nearby, plays quarterback and can run and pass, comes into Florida and wins a championship, is a good one.
He is six foot four 230 pounds and can do it all. He has had a touchdown pass of over 50 yards this season and has run for many more.
He will be able to come in and play behind a couple of guys he could learn from in Jones and Franks, as well as Trask. It will give him a chance to show what he has without pressure. He can be one of the next Florida football great quarterbacks.
Welcome to the Swamp
These two-star athletes are only a few of the new recruits that will be coming to the Gators soon. But I feel they are two that can and will have an impact on Gator football for years to come.
Welcome to the Swamp Issiah Walker and Anthony Richardson.
