Knowles is an interesting player for many reasons.

He has been around for many years and been through a few coaches. If anyone knows what it means to play for Miami, it is Knowles.

The Miami defense has some deficiencies in the backfield and Knowles being a senior will be counted on to help get their young DB’s to come together.

Knowles understands what his role is and embraces it, as he spoke to the Sun-Sentinel:

"“You have to teach them step by step, don’t want to rush them because some people don’t learn from words, it’s better to get reps at it. If they get reps at it, it’ll be faster to learn it and better for us.”"

He is going to want to show the others how to play hard and what it takes in a game like this one. This is why he will play a key role against the Gators.

But he has a Florida offense that is going to bring a lot of firepower and a bunch of top receivers to cover. It will be hard not to keep your eyes on that match-up all night.
