QB-Feleipe Franks

Last season was an inspiration of sorts for Franks. The redshirt Junior threw for 24 touchdowns and six interceptions and it seemed as though many thought he was not up to par. But if the last four games are a preview of this season we are in for a treat.

He went 4-0 in those games and his QB rating never dropped below 138.  He handled himself with the poise and leadership that is a Gator QB.

To say he is ready for this year would be an understatement. As Franks stated at SEC media days, “I want a fourth statue.” Eluding to the fact there are three statues of Florida QB’s outside the Swamp. That is a big statement, but one any Gator fan would want to hear.

In the game against Miami Franks will want to show he can back that statement up. This is a big game and can go along way with the national media looking at him as a possible Heisman candidate. Franks can throw a nice ball and we have seen that when in trouble he knows how to run as well. This will cause Miami trouble and makes him a key player and one to watch.
