I really debated on this last one.

I looked at Spurrier’s first game against Florida in 2005 when South Carolina beat the Gators, 30-22, but I went with 2003’s Florida/Florida State instead.

Now, I am not one to cry foul, especially 16 years after the fact, but that ACC crew couldn’t officiate out of a wet sack.

Three dead balls that should have been defensive fumble recoveries for the Gators, then the Seminoles get a fumble despite Ciatrick Fiason clearly being down before the ball came loose?

Really?

Even with that, the Gators had a three-point lead with a little more than a minute to play in the game.

But, the Gators got burned on a three-man rushing front as Seminole quarterback Chris Rix hit Dominic Robinson on one play and P.K. Sam with a 52-yard touchdown that won the game for Florida State.

But those officials … man were they rough.

Well, those are my thoughts on the top five games we Gator fans would love to forget.
