Damn you Tommie Frazier.

It was the first time Florida football went through the regular season undefeated with a realistic shot at winning the national title.

Until they ran into Lawrence Phillips, Tommie Frazier and the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl.

The Gators jumped out to a 10-6 lead before a Phillips touchdown, a safety of Danny Wuerffel, a field goal and a 42-yard interception run back for a touchdown.

And the Cornhuskers were just getting started.

Frazier had a 75-yard touchdown run and Nebraska ended the game with 524 yards on the ground.

Yeah, that was an ‘ouch’ moment.
