The 1980 debacle

While Walker led the way in the 1980, 81 and 82 seasons, there was a different foe in the 1980 game.

Florida held a 21-20 lead on then-No. 2 Georgia.

But, Georgia quarterback Buck Belue scrambled out of his own end zone and found Lindsay Scott on a 93-yard touchdown pass that left the Gators stunned.

The pass play turned out to be huge as Georgia went on to win the 1980 national championship. Had that completion not happened, Georgia would not have had a chance to get that national championship ring.
