The Walker Curse

Regardless of how he got there, Hershel Walker turned out to be one of the greatest players in Georgia history.

Walker blistered the Gators on numerous occasions, including in 1981 when the Gators had a 21-20 lead late in the fourth quarter.

With eight minutes left in the game, the Bulldogs drove 95 yards on 17 plays.

Walker scored on an over-the-top to put Georgia up 26-20, a score that held up.

He would close out his collegiate career with the Heisman Trophy (1982) and being a finalist for the award all three years he played at Georgia.

In those three years, he rushed for 649 yards as the Bulldogs defeated Florida in all three games.
