Checking In

There weren’t any commits or recruits playing in bowl games or state title games this week, but there were still some things to check in on.

Are the Gators losing ground on four-star defensive back Elijah Blades? The pledge to the Gators appears to be solid from the kid out of California, but the worry is still there.

Blades is an aforementioned Cali native and some say that if USC were to come in and offer, there could be some problems the trail for him. Blades himself has even stated he’s 100% committed to the Gators, but the worry is warranted.

I still believe Blades will be in Orange and Blue next year.

Three-star quarterback Commit Jake Allen will get to play an extra high school game. His high school St. Thomas Aquinas was selected to participate in the Geico Bowl Series, in which they will play Utah 5A State Champ Bingham.

The game will be aired on ESPNU the night of 12/23 at 9:30 PM EST.
