All-SEC First Team: Teez Tabor

Come April, star cornerback Teez Tabor could be a first-round draft pick and a future face of an NFL organization. Until then, he’s one of the best players on the Florida Gators and one of the most beloved members of the team.

In a season where the Gators struggled to throw the ball with any real consistency, Tabor made sure opposing quarterbacks experienced the same issues.

For his efforts, Tabor was honored as the only member of the Gators to make the All-SEC First Team. He joined fellow defensive backs Tre’Davious White of the LSU Tigers, Minkah Fitzpatrick of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and Aarion Penton of the Missouri Tigers.

This marks the second time that Tabor has been named to the All-SEC First Team—a two-time distinction that puts him in rare air.

Tabor played in 11 of Florida’s 12 games, recording 32 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one sack, and four interceptions. It was yet another beautiful display of just how dynamic Tabor can be as he switches from locking a receiver down to coming up with the ball.

If Tabor does as he’s expected to and enters the NFL Draft, then the Gators will have been fortunate to have a memorable star for three seasons.
