2. Antonio Callaway

Everyone knows Florida’s best wide receiver is Antonio Callaway, but for as big a deep threat as he is, he’s not quite the same threat when it comes to returning punts – or at least he didn’t show it last week against Tennessee.

Callaway muffed a punt early in the game that the Vols recovered inside the Gators own 5-yard line. Luckily, the defense bailed him out by not surrendering any points after forcing a turnover-on-downs, but still.

Then later in the game, Callaway decided to make a fair catch at his own 2-yard line instead of just letting the ball go into the end zone for a touchback.

Not smart.

However, he is one of five receivers in the country and the only SEC receiver with two games of 125-plus receiving yards against FBS opponents this year (Florida Pre-Game Notes).

Callaway is 4th in the SEC in receiving yards with 335 and I’d expect him to add a solid chunk to that total against Vandy’s pass defense, who ranks dead last in the conference.
