2. Oct. 8 vs. LSU

Florida will be going up against the LSU Tigers on Oct. 8. Here’s the only good news about that one: The Gators get the Tigers at home.

Here’s where the bad news comes into play: Leonard Fournette, who took the nation by storm last season, is a year older and a year wiser, and he also plays for the Tigers. The Heisman contender rushed for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2015 — just sayin’.

If the Gators’ fierce D can stop Fournette, then they will likely come out on top. If not, then hopefully someone emerges at QB for Florida.

If Florida does win this game, and the previous ones as well, then this will be evident: The Gators will be serious national title contenders.

Last season, the Gators went down to the Tigers by the score of 35-28, but that battle was played on the road for Florida, and Will Grier was no longer making the throws.
