The Florida Gators might not have to take on SEC foes like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels, but they still have a tough slate.
The Florida Gators will kick off their season on Sept. 3 against the Massachusetts Minutemen. That’s right, before we know it, college football will be back.
The Gators are coming off of a season in which they finished with a 10-4 record. At one point, the Gators, unexpectedly, looked like serious College Football Playoff contenders. They were 6-0 on the season, things were finally clicking on offense and Florida, for the first time since Tim Tebow graced the Swamp with his presence, had a quarterback who they could rely on in Will Grier.
To make a long story short, Grier was suspended, and the offense was never the same. Florida ended up losing its last three contests in a row, but it did make the SEC championship game.
Fast forward to now, and Florida enters the 2016 college football season with plenty of uncertainty. Nonetheless, head coach Jim McElwain & Co. enter the season with a loaded (yet manageable) schedule.
Let’s take a closer look at said schedule, shall we?
