1. Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

You had to expect Leonard Fournette at the top. He was the best player in college football for a good portion of last season.

For argument’s sake, just except it, and enjoy his stats from 2015 in the process:

  • 1,953 rushing yards
  • 22 rushing touchdowns
  • 10 games with 108 or more rushing yards
  • Four games with 212 or more rushing yards

Fournette is at the top of many Heisman boards entering 2016, as he should be.

LSU, as usual, enters the season as one of the most talented teams in the country. If Fournette can stay consistent all year long, he will likely be named the Heisman winner, and the Tigers could end up representing the SEC in the College Football Playoff.

With all of that in mind, Florida does get this contest at home, and The Swamp isn’t necessarily the easiest place to play at in college football.

Nonetheless, the Gators will be going up against some of the most talented players in the country, but that tends to be the case when you play in the best conference in the nation.
