Nebraska

Florida and Nebraska have met just twice in the illustrious history of both programs.

Both times, the Cornhuskers came out on top, with their last victory being a 62-24 thumping in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl (the National Championship for that year).

Like Florida, Nebraska’s hey-day was in the ’90s, as the Big Red won three National Championships in 1994, 1995 and 1997.

Also like Florida, Nebraska has not been relevant in years either.

If these two hooked up every now and then, it would bring nostalgia back to both fan bases.

It would be perfect timing in the next three to five seasons for both schools to jump on a home and away series with new head coaches Jim McElwain (Florida) and Mike Riley (Nebraska) taking over.
