Florida Gators 5-Star Recruits: Have They Turned in 5-Star College Careers?
2009: No. 3 Defensive Tackle, No. 23 overall
UF Career: Bust, maybe worse than Carl Moore’s
Gary Brown was an absolute monster defensive prospect in the 2009 class.
Brown had the strength to bench press a maximum of 345 pounds, yet he had the quickness and speed to run a 4.67 40-yard dash.
He even had an unheard of 113 tackles and 26 sacks as junior at West Gadsden High School.
Brown was redshirted in 2009 but the table was set for him to burst on to the scene in 2010, which he then proceeded to throw all away.
Brown was arrested in February of 2010 for misdemeanor battery after he slapped one woman across her face and slapped another’s arms after they were trying to shut down a party.
Needless to say, Florida dismissed Brown from the team a few days later and that was the end of Brown’s football career.
Gary Brown never took an official snap for the Gators.
