In the 2015 NFL Draft, Neiron Ball became the 35th linebacker in Florida Gator history to be selected when the Oakland Raiders took him 161st overall in the fifth round.

As I look at a 2015 Florida Gator football team that boasts 14 linebackers, I cannot help but wonder if the next “Gator Great” is somewhere in that bunch.

Regardless if this current crop of linebackers is all studs or duds, nothing can take away from the fact that the University of Florida has proved it can produce talented, NFL-ready linebackers.

So now, let us once again open the history books of Florida Gator football and revisit the Top-5 linebackers of all-time.

Honorable Mentions: Ralph Ortega (1972-1974), Sammy Green (1972-1975), Scot Brantley (1976-1979), Jevon Kearse (1995-1998), Channing Crowder (2003-2004), Jelani Jenkins (2009-2012)
