The Top-5 Tight Ends in Florida Gator History
No. 2 Cornelius Ingram (2005-2007)
Cornelius Ingram was a member of both the 2006 and 2008 Florida National Championship teams.
Although, he really only contributed to the first title run as he was injured during all of the 2008 season. In his three healthy seasons, Ingram reeled in 64 receptions for 888 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns.
Along with winning two SEC Championships in 2006 and 2008 to complement the National Championships, Ingram was also a Second-team All-SEC selection in 2007.
Ingram played in three bowl games when he was healthy and boasted a 2-1 record in those contests. The two bowl victories came in the 2006 Outback Bowl and the 2007 BCS National Championship.
After what felt like an eternity, Ingram finally left Florida after a six-year career.
He entered the 2009 NFL Draft and was selected 153rd overall in the fifth round by the Philadelphia Eagles.
In only four NFL seasons with three different teams, he would get no further than the practice squad as he battled the same knee injuries that plagued him at Florida.
