“The War Chant”

Never heard 10, 20-inch nails scrapping across an old, dusty chalkboard? How about listening to the top-10 worst American Idol audition singers?

All of that is much better than listening to a Florida State game and having to hear their terrible “War Chant.”

I’m not too sure what the point is of making the chant during games, as it doesn’t frighten opposing teams or players, nor does it particularly help FSU in any way.

It makes listening to an FSU game literally unbearable, which in turn actually distracts me from having the chance to appreciate the talent that the Seminoles have.

I think it’s mainly a sad attempt to pilfer a cultural aspect from Native Americans and pass it off as a positive promotion or an appreciation for a routinely abused people.

Or at least that’s what FSU want you to think.
