Top-5 Reasons Why You Can’t Stand Florida State
Tallahassee Police Department/Willie Meggs
I know, the Tallahassee police department and Florida State University are allegedly two separate entities but based on the last few months, I really can’t see the difference between the two.
What seriously made me angry was that press conference in 2013, which featured Tallahassee police and Florida State attorney Willie Meggs, laughing and cracking jokes while answering questions concerning a very serious matter.
One nice nugget in that report is that 70 percent of FSU players allegedly involved in a crime from 2009 to 2014 went uncharged
There the announcement came that the aforementioned Winston would not be charged in connection with the sexual assault; it seemed like a good ole’ jolly time in Tallahassee as documented by USA Today Sports’ Christine Brennan.
We also all know the lengths to which the police went to cover up and protect FSU players as detailed in a ESPN report by Paula Lavigne (in all fairness, the University of Florida was heavily reported on as well in that piece).

Heck, they even protected players who knock out women at bars, by sending heavily redacted reports of the accused player’s name, yet coincidentally forgot about the VICTIM’S name as detailed by an ESPN.com article.
Now that’s what I call policing your university.
