No. 4 Ricky Nattiel (1983-1986)

Playing at Florida in the mid-80’s, Ricky Nattiel was a part of some good Gator teams as he enjoyed three, nine-win seasons. Nattiel played a big role in a fair amount of these wins as he caught 117 passes for 18 touchdowns and 2,086 receiving yards for the Orange and Blue.

Despite the great play of Nattiel game in and game out, the Gators were only able to win just one bowl game during his four years there. Their only win came in the 1983 Gator Bowl during Nattiel’s freshman year.

A single bowl victory aside, Nattiel’s other accolades include:

  • First-team All-SEC in 1986
  • Second-team All-American in 1986
  • UF Hall of Fame inductee in 1998

Once his Gator years came to a close, Nattiel entered the 1987 NFL Draft and was picked 27th overall by the Denver Broncos. He played just five seasons and never made much of an impact in the NFL.
