Years at UF: 2007 to 2009

Position: Corner Back

You can’t start this conversation off without talking about Joe Haden.

What makes Haden so amazing is that even though he was a former All-American, has eight career interceptions and was the 7th pick in 2010 NFL Draft at corner back, he originally came to Florida as a receiver.

Haden’s freakish athleticism allowed him to seamlessly transition to the defensive side of the ball, becoming a true lockdown corner.

Think about this, as a true freshman, Haden started 12 games at corner, helped the Gators win the BCS Championship in his sophomore year and was named Sporting News’ Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.

To top it off, at the rate Haden is continuing to dominate NFL offenses, Haden may very well end up in the Hall of Fame.

It can’t get much better than that.
