New Standing Albert: In 2003, Albert got a new, meaner look. This Albert features claws, more textured skin, a lighter underside, and the combination of two of the other logos. Albert’s head looks a lot like the Gator head logo that we primarily see today and the “F” on his sweater has been changed from the block “F” to the modern “F”. This was all part of Florida’s rebranding to a more fierce mascot, instead of the more friendly, classic Albert.
