Scott Carter of GatorZone recently came out with the head-to-head series records for Florida versus Florida State. The results are not kind to Seminole fans. The Gators hold a 492-287-4 advantage throughout 12 sports over our foes from Tallahassee. This includes a 34-22-2 record in football, 43-22 mark in men’s basketball, 40-3 edge in women’s swimming, and an astonishing 54-1 tally in women’s tennis. FSU does hold one advantage, however. Despite being swept in three games as the top-ranked team in the country this season, the ‘Noles baseball team holds a 104-125-1 lead in baseball. No matter what happens in a given sport’s season, you’ll always have that record to turn to if a Seminole fan is taunting you. It should be a while, if ever, before they catch up.
Our FSU affliliate on the FanSided network Chop Chat will be breaking down all things Florida Gators, but from the Seminole perspective. Please, don’t be too harsh.
