Uniform: I have to give some propers on FSU for nailing the new uniforms, even if they didn’t come close with the new logo. The new football uniforms Seminole patchwork on the sleeves is pretty neat. It contains the Tribe’s symbols for fire, man on horse, and arrow. There’s also a nod to Florida’s state flag with two spears crossed on the back of the helmet. Well done here. Very cool they decided to really bring out the Seminole Tribe heritage and make it a modern design. Their other uniforms didn’t really seem to change all that much albeit they changed the primary logo. There may be some subtle changes with the feather down the side of the uniform. Pictures of all the new uniforms can be found here. Here’s the men’s basketball uniforms:

Overall, I think Florida State did a pretty good job of maintaining their respective identities through each sport while making a fresh, new look for fans to get excited about. It’s also a smart move by the university. Every Seminole has at the very least a shirt or a hat adorned with the previous look. Now, FSU stands to make a lot of money off of the rebranding of the uniforms and logos. Those old ‘Nole jerseys? Obsolete.
